SR. SYSTEMS ANALYST

Our client is seeking a talented Senior Systems Analyst to lead analysis and coordination of projects of varying size and complexity.

Lead Data Integration (DI) projects of varying size and complexity.
Analyze project proposals, production issues, business process changes and technical enhancements.

Gather information, define the problem, and develop solution recommendation regarding priority, scope, and design, keeping business need, cost / benefit and other relevant considerations in context to ensure focus and progress on a value add project portfolio.

Develop and communicate work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports for assigned projects.

Conduct analysis on assigned projects and translate the business needs into business requirement document as input for system design and development, testing and user acceptance.

Create and maintain source -target data movement specifications for any ETL toolWork with the project team to ensure development and delivery of quality solutions for assigned projects within established time and budget estimates.

Recommend new fields or subject areas to be added to DI data infrastructure based on gap analysis.
Create, review and maintain the DI documentation in team folders and intranet site.

As a senior member of the team, responsible to institutionalize the knowledge of concepts, terms and processes related to our client's lines of business and take the lead on building and maintaining the knowledge levels and team members' understanding of these materials for increased effectiveness in their jobs.

Engage in department discussions, provide creative solutions to business and technical issues, identify and propose process improvement opportunities. Proactively identify and propose projects to increase the value delivered through DI skills and assets.
Works independently and receives minimal guidance and oversight from manager.

QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, Master's degree in Computer or data science preferred.5+ years of experience as technical systems analyst role in data warehouse and ETL projects.

Experience in the domain of financial services products like Annuities and Mutual funds.
Strong SQL skills and knowledge of database objects like stored procedures / view / synonyms / indexes.
Experience in ETL impact analysis tools like Informatica Meta Data manager.
Excellent communication, technical documentation and team work skills.
Project management experience.
Preferred (but not required): Informatica, MicroStrategy, Tableau, Salesforce or AWS work experience
