    Job SummaryAs part of the Human Resources department, the successful candidate is responsible to strategically and proactively source passive and active candidates to build and maintain a quality talent pipeline for current and future workforce needs.

    Duties include working with the various leaders in analyzing the requirements of an available job, attracting suitable candidates to the position, understanding external labor market conditions, carefully screening and selecting all applicants, hiring, and seamlessly integrating new employees and roles into the organization.

    They are a self-starter that enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, strong commitment to deadlines and team, is highly organized and process oriented with a strong sense of ownership in their work, possesses a high degree of intellectual curiosity, and has a superior skill set in sourcing candidates and onboarding new employees.

    Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelops and executes national staffing plan to ensure both internal and external pipeline of candidates to meet business requirementsSources candidates through multiple channels including:

    LinkedIn, social media, networking, email, various job boards, referrals and cold-calling;Serves as a liaison with local employment agencies, colleges, and industry associationsAttends various career fair eventsExperience with internship programs with familiarity with recruitment processes with secondary educational institutionsDevelops and updates job postings and job descriptions as requiredEffectively manages the overall hiring process from end to end; posting, sourcing, reviewing resumes, interviewing, selection, and closing process including offer letters and acceptance.

    Ascertain candidates' position qualifications by conducting pre-hire checks including various background checks and drug screensCreates various excel reports and monitors key HR metrics related to recruitmentManages the onboarding process and conducts orientationManages the offboarding process for employees leavingManages various client relationships and serves as a partner to the hiring managers before, during, and after the recruiting processMaintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulationsMaintains knowledge of trends, best practices, and new technologies in recruitment, talent management and employment lawMaintains a good understanding of business operationsSkills & QualificationsUndergraduate or bachelors degree in human resources, business administration, personnel management, psychology, industrial relations, or a similar fieldMinimum of 3 years of experience in full cycle recruitingProficient with Microsoft Office in particular Excel with formulas, charts, and tables to create and manage various recruitment tracking spreadsheetsExperience in recruiting at a national levelExperience in recruiting plant operations and corporate/adminExperience with using a wide variety of sourcing avenues (e.g., various job boards and social media platforms)Understanding of employment laws and regulations across various statesExperience with different interview techniques and applicant screening methods (i.e., in-person interviews, group interviews, and phone screening calls)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentialityCollaborative and interpersonal skills; team playerAbility to manage a wide range of relationships with a variety of stakeholdersAbility to work in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced environment, to adapt quickly and to manage changing prioritiesExperience working in a unionized environment considered an assetKnowledge in recruiting for the District Energy business an assetTravel to Corporate Head Office and Plant location in Houston is required 3-4 days per month.
