    Job DescriptionEssential Functions:

    • Enforcement of house rules and overall security of the center. Ensure all times are adequatelycovered.
    • Train, schedule and supervise Assistant Resident Manager(s).
    • Give direction to the Assistant Resident Managers safeguarding and ensuring consistentadherence to all ARC house rules and policies.
    • Conduct residence and program orientation for new beneficiaries that includes a facility tourand review of emergency procedures.
    • Lead weekly House Meetings.
    • Supervise the medication call. Ensuring beneficiaries record medication in medicine log,according to policies and procedures.
    • Respond appropriately to routine questions and inquiries from beneficiaries or refer them toappropriate staff.
    • Provide safe transportation for beneficiaries as need/assigned being sure to follow allprocedures for operation of motor vehicles.
    • Respond to emergencies according to established procedures. Report situations to theDRS/MRS or Administrator and make written incident reports and Safe From Harm reports ifnecessary.
    • Implement, monitor, coordinate and attend leisure time activities both in center and out(concerts, athletic events, etc.)
    • Assist in resolving beneficiary problems as necessary.
    • Responsible to train, schedule and supervise beneficiaries assigned to work therapyassignments such as janitorial crew, front desk or similar.
    • Participate in in-service trainings and workshops to enhance professional skills.
    • Conduct bed checks at appropriate times.
    • Administer drug and alcohol breathalyzer or urinalysis tests to beneficiaries
    • Report and document violations of center policies to Administrator and appropriate ProgramStaff.
    • Complete daily reports and electronic data entries which include beneficiaries admitted,terminated and unusual or otherwise noteworthy after-hours incidents.
    • Assess spiritual needs of beneficiaries and refer to Chaplain/Administrator as needed.
    • Support the mission statement of The Salvation Army.

    "Additional InformationPay Range:

    $15.00-$20.00

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Education Experience:
    High School Graduate or Equivalent.
    Previous managerial experience is desirable.
    Must possess a current Driver's License and be able to qualify for The Salvation Army insurance.

    • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common professional journals, financial reports and otherdata.
    • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from beneficiaries, agencies, or thecommunity.
    • Abilities to effectively present information to administration, beneficiaries, and/or public groups.
    • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints.
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
    • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstractand concrete variables.
    • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as rate, ratio and percentages.
    • Abilities to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,common fractions, and decimals

    Supervisor Responsibility:
    Assistant Resident Manager(s) in accordance with Salvation Army policies and applicable laws

    Physical Requirements:
    Speaking, hearing and vision ability, and excellent manual dexterity to be able to perform oncomputers.
    Lifting, pulling and pushing of materials up to 20 pounds to be able to move equipment.


    Travel:
    Out of town or overnight travel may be required up to 2 times a year for training or program events

    Working Conditions:
    This job is mostly performed in a residential institutional environment with a quiet to moderate noiselevel. At time they will be required to go into the warehouse or stores. Closed toe shoes with rubbersoles are required for the warehouse for all employees.
