    POSITION OPEN ANNOUNCEMENT
    Intervention Specialist

    General Description:
    The Intervention Specialist will assist students with Individualized Education Plans primarily with English, math, career-technical and study skills.

    The goal is to assist students in understanding the concepts covered in the classroom and provide assistance based on their individual needs.

    The instructor will perform in such a manner to ensure the best education possible for the students of MVCTC.


    Qualifications:

    • Must hold or qualify for a valid Ohio professional license as a Mild/Moderate Intervention Specialist
    • Experience working with special education students
    • Experience with or knowledge of writing IEPs
    • Ability to plan and implement an intervention program aligned with school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assigned
    • Possess good knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, materials, and equipment of instructional specialty to which assigned
    • Must be able to assist students in the areas of English, mathematics, social studies, science, and career-technical labs
    • Must have the ability to integrate instructional technology
    • Ability to move about the classroom/lab to check student work and monitor behavior
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers, and parents
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
    • Possess excellent human relations skills and serve as a role model for students
