    Position Title:
    Engineering - Electrical Technician
    Contract 6-12 months Possible conversion to FT

    The client offers a full spectrum of water, waste, and energy management services, including water and wastewater treatment, commercial and hazardous waste collection and disposal, energy consulting, and resource recovery.

    The client helps commercial, industrial, healthcare, higher education, and municipality customers throughout North America.

    Perform all routine, corrective and emergency maintenance activities to keep all commercial lighting and commercial electrical systems in working order.

    Diagnose problems and then repair/replace defective parts as required.

    Completed vocational school with Electrical Certification
    Experience with commercial electrical work

    Provide and maintain a high quality of customer service to customer base.
    Performs electrical maintenance and repair work; Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches and switch gears
    Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer's installation manuals to complete assigned projects

    If regular activities must be stopped, the electrician will have to estimate how long a shutdown will last and identify alternatives for operation.

    Make periodic inspection for new and existing electrical components (120v, 208v, 240v, 277v and 480v three phase), including, but not limited to, wiring, conduit, service panels, breakers, contractors, relays, timers and other associated controls.

    EMT Conduit bending and installation, connecting circuits and breakers, replacing fuses and fuse boxes, installing receptacles, switches, light fixtures and testing voltages.

    Operates a variety of standard power tools, equipment and trenchers in electrical installations, maintenance and repair activities on a regular basis.

    Provides maintenance schedule and material/parts research, parts ordering and shop stock inventory to support routine maintenance and equipment replacement as required.
