    What You'll Do:

    The Director, Office of Technology Strategy and Innovation (OTSI) is responsible for the build and run for the OTSI cloud and on-prem test ranges, leading the test and assessment of new products and operational concepts, and managing a team of permanent and rotational engineers daily tasks. The Director, OTSI will manage the provision of expert technical opinions and briefings to OCC decision-makers, operational personnel, the management committee and regulators, and provide recommendations for procurement, configuration, and operational resiliency to operations personnel.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.

    • Plan and manage the build and maintenance for cloud-based and traditional on-prem lab environments deployed using Infrastructure as Code techniques.
    • Lead a team of senior engineers experienced across cloud-based and on-prem infrastructure, middleware, networking and security domains
    • In coordination with architecture, security, and other business elements, define and test existing and new control techniques for resilience, performance, and security in a highly-regulated environment and using automation.
    • Serve as a primary technical advisor for the creation and administration of the OCC Unified Technology Strategy
    • Prepare and manage the execution of technical and operational proofs-of-concept.
    • Prepare and deliver briefings at all levels of the company, including the management committee and regulators
    • Develop documentation to support BAU operational teams in maintaining tools and processes

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • Lead a team of senior engineers experienced across cloud-based and on-prem infrastructure, middleware, networking and security domains

    • [Required] Demonstrated ability to lead a team, prepare and manage projects and schedules within budget, based on senior management priorities,
    • [Required] Cloud and on-prem engineering, with a focus on development of secure enterprise solutions
    • [Required] Working knowledge or demonstrated experience with and corporate hands-on experience with configuration and implementation of infrastructure as code, AWS cloud, Azure cloud, or other similar cloud technologies
    • [Required] Strong understanding of modern deployment technologies including CICD, Terraform, Ansible, and Docker
    • [Required] Analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to develop creative solutions
    • [Required] Ability to plan events based on the teams overall schedule
    • [Required] Ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely in both written and verbal formats
    • [Required] Strong technical research ability

    Technical Skills:

    • [Required] Strong knowledge of common enterprise infrastructure technology stacks and network configurations
    • [Preferred] Experience working on critical infrastructure in a regulated environment
    • [Preferred] Knowledge and experience with DevOps, Kubernetes, GitHub, and Jenkins strongly desired
    • [Preferred] Understanding of industry standards including one or both of the following NIST RMF/CSF, COBIT 5/2019
    • [Preferred] Hands-on experience with scripting and coding, such as Python, PowerShell, Terraform, shell scripts, etc.

    Education and/or Experience:

    • Minimum of 10 years working in on-prem and cloud based infrastructure, with a minimum of five years experience leading teams in this area

    Certificates or Licenses:

    • [Preferred] Cloud, Networking, Security certifications
