Description
Boarhog LLC is seeking conscientious, energetic Software Engineers to become "plank owner" members of a new multi-company Software Engineering Team responsible for designing, developing, operating and maintaining software, firmware components, or computing systems software to be applied to and integrated with solutions or products that also encompass non-information technology related engineering or scientific disciplines.
We are currently looking for a mid-level Software Enginee r to join our team developing next generation signals intelligence (SIGINT) and electronic warfare systems for the Department of Defense.

Responsibilities
Design and implement solutions to interesting engineering problems using DevSecOps methodologies to identify constraints and employ creative solutions to break bottlenecks, improve processes, and create efficiencies.
Implement and execute on technical initiatives and solutions.
Adjust or recommend enhancements in systems and new software as well as modify existing code to add features and functionality.
Debug existing software.Develop code necessary to complete tasks in the specified time according to standards and guidelines.
Employ design, development, and testing best practices.
Profile, analyze, and optimize implemented software.
Address somewhat complex technical issues/problems.
Collaborate with hardware or software designers/engineers and analysts to develop, analyze, and evaluate hardware, software, and systems.
Evaluate emerging technologies to determine advantages and disadvantages of potential solutions in virtual, web-based, and desktop applications.
Requirements
3-5 years of related experience, including Java development experience.
Solid understanding of complex software design concepts, patterns, tools and best practices
Experience with distributed/asynchronous programming models
Proven delivery of production-grade applications including security, diagnostics, maintainability, scalability, auditing, and complex multi-layer troubleshooting
Experience designing and implementing solutions to interesting engineering problems using DevSecOps methodologies to identify constraints and employ creative solutions to break bottlenecks, improve processes, and create efficiencies.
Experience designing and coding software using industry standard tools, testing frameworks, CI infrastructure, automated deployments, and design scalable maintenance practices.
Linux, bash shell, and scripting in languages such as Python.C, C++, Java and full stack development which contributes to the design and implementation of complex distributed scalable web-based applications.
Self-motivated, ability to meet deadlines.Must have Top Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AWS (including any AWS Certifications)
Background in web technologies is highly desired.
Experience with database programming and cloud technologies.
Experience with Python and scripting.
Working knowledge of signal processing fundamental
Working knowledge of MATLAB is helpful.
Willingness to learn and apply the best technology for a given application.
Education
Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's or equivalent in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
Additional Selection Considerations
The position requires a Top-Secret clearance. As such, an acceptable candidate must possess an active TS clearance and be SCI Eligible.
Boarhog's Facility Security Officer will request and receive the SCI Eligibility determination from vetting prior to Boarhog issuing a contingent offer letter.
