    Basic Function or Position Summary:


    Determines work scope for energy efficiency and home renovation projects to be code compliant, maximize energy efficiency, return on investment and increase property value; Responsible for quality of work and customer satisfaction.


    Hours per week 36:
    Monday - Thursday 7:00am to 4:30pm. Salary $ $20.27/hourly

    Security Clearance:
    Access Level - V,A,C,R

    Requirements


    Position Responsibilities and Specific Duties:

    • Performs pre and post audits of all homes on project list
    • Health and safety testing as required by contract
    • Pre and Post blower door tests
    • House write ups including all measuring and drawings
    • Data entry in all required systems
    • Develop material list for each job
    • Assist in reviewing data to determine material and labor requirements and preparing itemized list
    • Projects staff assigned to jobs in compliance with pre-determined parameters
    • Schedule crews to maximize time and performance
    • Provide on-site quality checks of construction work, including post-audits, health and safety tests
    • Review and approve change work order requests
    • Monitor crew paperwork
    • Document customer, crew and material information in agency data systems
    • Maintain knowledge of OSHA regulations and monitor compliance
    • Maintain knowledge of energy-efficiency construction technologies, industry standards, local building codes
    • Provide guidance and direction to work crews on how to complete approved work scopes
    • Customer interactions:
    • Explain options and purpose of proposed renovations
    • Educate customer on energy efficiency and return on investment, connecting to reducing costs and increasing asset value
    • Participates in establishing procedures and parameters relative to service implementation
    • Must know and be able to perform all the duties, responsibilities, and basic functions of a Housing Rehab Specialist I
    • Promotes agency mission.
    • Maintains confidentiality and complies with the code of ethics.
    • Maintains consistent professional customer service.
    • Job performance incorporates integrated service delivery model while promoting self-sufficiency.

    Organizational Responsibilities:

    Knowledge, Skills Required:

    • High school diploma or GED required. Associates degree preferred.
    • Minimum of one year of experience in energy efficiency work or three years of experience in a construction related field.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication and customer relations skills.
    • Strong computer skills, including word processing, data entry and spreadsheet in a windows environment.
    • Goal oriented.
    • Ability to develop and maintain & engage in positive relationships with people from various backgrounds.
    • Bilingual preferred.
    • Strong teaming skills.
    • Continuous professional development expected.
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measures using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
    • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel: reach with hands and arms, push or pull, climb ladders up to 35 feet, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, sit and stand
    • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
    • Must be able to perform work in all weather conditions
    • QCI requirement within 3 years of employment

    Special Requirements, if any:

    • Must be able to obtain Building Performance Institute's Building Analyst certification within one year of hire.
    • Must be able to obtain Building Performance Institute's Energy Auditor certification within 2 years of hire.
    • Required to receive OSHA 10 hour certification
    • Must be able to provide consistent even-tempered customer service at all times
