MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance staff is responsible for all maintenance issues including installs, repairs, and equipment transfers within the plant to ensure the plant remains operational.

SALARY

$22-$35/hr - Commensurate with experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform preventative and general maintenance
• Monitor, maintain, and repair electrical and automated equipment and systems including centrifuge, conveyors, hammermills, and grain equipment
• Check heat sources, pressures, change belts, grease bearings, keep oil full as needed, flush pipes
• Take readings and compare trends
• Clean wetcake pad
• Perform maintenance during scheduled shutdowns
• Service equipment and company vehicles
• Upgrade and install new equipment
• Repair faulty equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed
• Detect and fix leaks, noises, smells, and vibrations in equipment
• Assist vendors when contract work is needed
• Fabricate and weld equipment as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3- 5 years experience in an industrial maintenance role
• Light electrical experience a plus
• Experience with conveyors, motors, pumps, valves and/or lock out/tag out a plus
  
• Ability to speak and comprehend basic English
• Ability to stand and walk frequently; twist, bend, and reach on a regular basis
• Ability to work with caustic chemicals
• Highschool Degree or GED
