    Health Services Specialist I



    This is a full-time position at our Oakland Health Center in Oakland, CA.



    Main Responsibilities:


    • Provide direct services to patients in all areas of the health center, including sexual and reproductive health, abortion, prenatal care, family medicine, etc.

    • Greet patients professionally and accurately provide information about services, payment options and appointment scheduling.< /li>
    • Enter accurate patient information into Electronic Practice Management System (EPM)

    • Contact insurance companies for benefit information and authorization of services
      < li > Ensure accuracy of charges and post charges to EPM for all pay types following established practices. < / li >< br /
      elleasily communicate sensitive medical information with diverse backgrounds">e.g., pregnancy testing , STI/HIV testing from blood collection /​​and phlebotomy Venipuncture, providing results verbally or in writing .Prepare daily patient lab samples transfer appropriate laboratory log running reconciliation lab report control needs exam instrument cleaning room equipment assist exams required referral follow-up aftercare service examination skill same hours work as other staff members
