This posting is for two (2) part time (17.5 hours a week) positions of custodian in University buildings and offices with an emphasis on customer service, cleanliness and safety.- Sweep mop strip and wax floors vacuum shampoo rugs carpets clean rest rooms offices replenish supplies wash windows walls operate vacuum cleaner buffer hi-speed buffers shampoo machines set up tables chairs facilities for meetings or special events participate in reporting of campus damage safety issues perform custodial duties kitchen areas clean polish brass chalk boards drinking fountains glass doors dust polish furniture window sills door moldings pack unpack assist receiving issuing transporting materials report items needed reorder general maintenance cleaning supply inventory assist transferring furniture supplies between department throughout campus replace light bulbs maintain building security perform minor repairs installations dispensers ceiling tiles remove ice snow steps sidewalks assist picking trash debris outside grounds shovel sand around buildings clean apartments houses owned by the University make beds commencement alumni special programs clean laundry areas washing machines dryers walls floors wash draperies curtains take down hang draperies replace pins sew sewing machines room building lockup unlock directed pick deliver custodial supplies basic vacuum cleaner maintenance filter replacement perform lifesafety inspections provide university event support live line daily activities while duty operate safe manner highest level housekeeping provide mentoring leadership interns apprentices student workers willingness take courses training trade specific university standards complete clarkson vehicle safety checklist before vehicle use responsible care cleanliness assigned vehicle report all vehicle concerns appropriate supervisor immediately operate clarkson vehicle accordance university policy perform other related duties incidental work described herein deliver timely friendly effective service faculty staff students encourage promote teamwork ability gain general knowledge campus participate reporting campus damage saftey issues
