Job summary:
Selects and applies special monitoring electrodes bands thermistors and other monitoring probes to appropriate areas of the patient's body Prepares positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fittings Schedules discusses the test process with patients ensures their knowledge of the process answers their questions Educates physicians on sleep medicine.
- Follows sleep procedures to establish document baseline values such as body position movements oxyhemoglobin saturation respiratory heart rates.
- Scores sleep/wake stages generates accurate reports by tabulating sleep/wake clinical event data.
- Implements appropriate interventions including actions necessary for patient safety therapeutic intervention continuous bi-level positive airway pressure oxygen administration.
