    Job Summary


    Sentara Medical Group has an employment position available for an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with 1-3 years' experience as a licensed provider to join our inpatient team working a rotating schedule and provide direct patient care management to complex and critically ill patients in the ICU.

    The ideal candidate has 1-3 years' experience in a critical care, trauma, and/or acute care setting, and will be responsible for preparing admissions, performing the initial evaluation and physical exams, conducting approved diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ordering laboratory studies and professional consultations and prescribing appropriate interventions and medications.

    Experience with respiratory intubation, placing central and arterial lines, managing ventilators are highly desirable.

    MLD - Master's

    Level Degree:
    Nurse Practitioner (Required)

    Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, Physician Assistant License (PA) - Certification - North Carolina, Physician Assistant License (PA) - Certification - Other/National, Physician Assistant License (PA) - Certification - Virginia
