    Our Captives & Programs division is growing and as a result, we are looking to add a Captive Coordinator to our team. This position is responsible for new and renewal business processes, servicing existing accounts and future assigned accounts. As well as providing actuaries with relevant data needed for analysis of risks. You will also prepare proposals, reviews terms to include pricing and coverage. The ideal candidate will have a finance degree or related education. Strong Excel skills will also be required to be successful in this position. This position is based in our Dubuque, IA office.

    Our Captives & Programs department provides insurance products that allow mid-sized companies the ability to buy insurance like the largest companies in the country, without being exposed to catastrophic financial risk that could put them out of business. Our programs combine strategic risk transfer mechanisms with a proactive focus on improving safety and aggressively managing claims.

    Job Duties Include:

    • Collaborating with the C&B accounting department to address all billing items and wire transfers.
    • Working with fronting carriers to make sure that premiums are accounted for which includes the billing/collection of deductibles.
    • Being responsible for the renewal process and new business process that consists of preparing prospect data, creating loss stratifications, requesting actuarial information, sending submissions to fronting carriers, creating pricing worksheets, providing approved pricing, etc.
    • Monitoring the collateral process by ensuring that all members are meeting their financial obligations.
    • Responding to inquiries from internal personnel as well as external service providers.
    • Updating and maintaining Captive reports and distributing to appropriate people, responsible for the preparation of board of directors meeting materials as well as attending board meetings as needed.
