    Work Now Staffing is looking to hire Assembler/Testers for our Romeoville client.

    Pay: $17.54 per hour

    Shift: 1st Shift - 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday, Saturday is voluntary OT
    Job Details:

    Performs a variety of shop operations including but not limited to hose preparation and assembly,

    product preparation and assembly, crimping, cutting, buffing, testing, fitting, material handling as

    specified by work orders. Conducts tests to determine quality and strength of product by performing

    the following duties:

    • Fabricates assemblies by measuring and cutting hose to specified lengths in accordance to manufacturing order and/or drawings to within established tolerances
    • Cleans workpiece with file, hand brush, snip, or grinder
    • Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and snips to product close fit between parts
    • Operates table saw, band saw and grinders
    • Installs fittings on hose assemblies or other object to seal outlets and connects object to high pressure air or water line
    • Activates air compressor or water pump until gauge registers specified internal pressure
    • Observes gauge for loss of pressure indicative of leaks
    • Tests hose or hose assembly under pressure to ensure compliance with product safety ratings
    • Marks object at source of leak for subsequent repair
    • Trains other employees as needed

    Detalles del trabajo:

    Realiza una variedad de operaciones de taller que incluyen, entre otras, preparación y ensamblaje de mangueras,

    preparación y ensamblaje del producto, engarzado, corte, pulido, prueba, ajuste, manejo de materiales como

    especificado por las órdenes de trabajo. Realiza pruebas para determinar la calidad y resistencia del producto realizando

    los siguientes deberes:

    Fabrica conjuntos midiendo y cortando mangueras a longitudes específicas de acuerdo con el orden de fabricación y/o los dibujos dentro de las tolerancias establecidas.
    Limpia la pieza de trabajo con una lima, un cepillo manual, una tijera o una amoladora.
    Elimina pequeñas cantidades de metal con limas manuales y corta para que el producto encaje perfectamente entre las piezas.
    Opera sierras de mesa, sierras de cinta y amoladoras.
    Instala accesorios en conjuntos de mangueras u otros objetos para sellar las salidas y conecta el objeto a una línea de agua o aire a alta presión.
    Activa el compresor de aire o la bomba de agua hasta que el manómetro registre la presión interna especificada.
    Observa el manómetro para detectar pérdidas de presión que indiquen fugas.
    Prueba la manguera o el conjunto de manguera bajo presión para garantizar el cumplimiento de las clasificaciones de seguridad del producto.
    Marca el objeto en el origen de la fuga para su posterior reparación.
