Position Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Location: Milwaukee, WI (North)
Pay Range: $26.00-$30.00/hr. Summary:The Machinist role is responsible for producing precision machined parts through setup and operation of CNC Machinery. Additionally, you will tasked with maintaining both equipment and supply levels. Responsibilities:

• Manually cycle machine through sequences.
• Correct deviations, adjust machine speeds and feeds, and calibrate and change cutters.
• Diagnose operating difficulties. Troubleshoot, repair and correct basic machine issues, tooling, or replacement parts.
• Review set up sheets and specifications to determine setup procedure, machine sequence and dimensions.
• Interpret engineering drawings. Identify and correct errors or recommend potential improvements in the drawings to engineers and/or management.
• Complete first piece inspection and use a variety of precision measuring and inspection devices to ensure parts conform to specifications.
• Work with and train apprentices or other machinists/operators.
• Operate a forklift or crane when necessary.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years' experience in CNC machining, preferably with Master Cam.
• Completion of an apprenticeship with journeyman card or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with types of controls such as Mazak, Fanuc and Mazatrol. Mazak experience preferred.
• Knowledge of G & M codes.
