    Metal Band Saw Operator


    The Metal Band Saw operator plays a vital role in the Machine Shop operation, ensuring smooth production runs and maintaining a safe work environment.



    • Unload incoming steel from flatbed trucks/trailers using an overhead crane, position materials for cutting and verify specifications through measurement or other tools.

    • Operate a forklift safely (or be willing to learn) to transport materials as needed.

    • Identify, store, stack and organize product efficiently.

    • Mark necessary identification on workpieces according to requirements.

    • Prioritize tasks based on priority lists and determine where parts are needed most urgently.
