    Ithaka's portfolio includes The Laurel Hotel and Spa, Alabama's first and only AAA Five-Diamond Hotel, The Hotel at Auburn University, The Culinary Science Center, and several other properties under development.

    Their portfolio also includes several restaurants and their state of the art food hall, Hey Day Market, a gathering place for students, family and friends on South College Street.

    At the market, nine vendors will serve crowd-pleasing meals that are thoughtfully prepared onsite with sustainable, organic ingredients.

    One vendor stall will be a dedicated incubator where graduates of the Hospitality Management and Culinary Science programs can develop business concepts and get their operations off the ground.

    POSITION OBJECTIVEIthaka Hospitality Partners is looking to add a Director of Operations to oversee the entirety of Hey Day Market, their local food hall in Auburn, AL.

    This individual will oversee the daily operation and work closely with nine food hall vendors to ensure a great customer experience.

    The vendors include several concepts from sushi bowls to burgers to tacos to gelato, alongside a brewery as well The Director of Operations will ensure all vendors are well-taken care of, so they can, in turn, take care of their guests and community.

    As a new concept in Auburn, Hey Day market is in a growth phase and this leader will play a pivotal role in continuing that growth through increased volume, guest count, and impact.

    He or she will be a part of the leadership team at Ithaka, working alongside the CEO and Managing Partners, attending weekly marketing meetings and planning for the future expansion of food halls for the company.

    This person will be in charge of planning and executing events that drive more business to the food hall, like adding an ice skating rink at Christmas and a putt putt course during the Masters.

    The Director of Operations will be 'the face' for Hey Day Market, and will be integral in the future success of this food hall.

    POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIESOversee the entirety of the Hey Day Market including operations, staffing, ordering, menu development, team member success, and financial oversightOversee the operation of the Hey Day Market BarDrive organizational excellence in operations through supporting the nine food hall vendors; provide overall leadership and guidance to all vendorsExecute systems to protect the brand experience and ensure the food hall meets or exceeds financial targetsCreate and execute marketing initiatives and successful events and activations to increase businessAct as a liaison between food hall tenants, Ithaka Hospitality Partners, and Auburn UniversityEnsure all financial (invoices, reporting) and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and proceduresBe the 'maitre d''; encounter all guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented mannerEnsure Ithaka's core values are being upheld by maintaining a thriving and positive company cultureSKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDEDBachelor's Degree Required4+ years of hospitality management/leadership experienceExperience running a food hall type concept/multi-tenant property highly preferredWorking knowledge of financials, budgets, operations, and marketingHigh standard for excellence with a keen eye for details that impact guest experienceUnderstanding of overall food hall needs with ability to utilize time well between the food hall, university relations, events, and necessary office dutiesOrganized, team player who is considerate and able to work well with othersAbility to coach and develop others, resolve conflict, and promote teamwork and performance managementBe an enterpriser; ability to anticipate needs of the vendors, jumping in as needed, while also being present and building relationships with guests#J-18808-Ljbffr
