About the Role
The Company is seeking an AVP of People & Culture to lead a team of HRBPs in providing strategic support to program leadership on a range of HR matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for performance management, disciplinary actions, investigations, learning and development, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and relevant laws. This role requires a strong commitment to the company's mission, with a focus on fostering a positive work environment and supporting the growth and development of employees. The AVP will also be involved in strategic planning, and will be expected to have a deep understanding of talent management, and to use data and analytics to drive decision-making and improve employee retention.
Applicants for the AVP of People & Culture position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and a minimum of 3 years' experience as an HRBP, with at least 4 years in a leadership role. Essential qualifications include a SHRM-CP certification, with a preference for SHRM-SCP. The role demands a candidate with a proven track record in leading employee investigations, interpreting Collective Bargaining Agreements, and a strong knowledge of labor and employment laws. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism, and a background that demonstrates a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. xhmxlyz Experience in the social services or nonprofit sectors, and an understanding of the issues faced by underserved communities, is also desired.
