    Job Summary

    The Sr. Manager of Material Management supports the low acid division at Lyons Magnus, an international food and beverage manufacturer headquartered in Fresno, California. This position is responsible for ensuring and improving performance, efficiency and quality for material delivery and movement of goods to support manufacturing operations.

    Hours: Hours vary based on needs

    Schedule: Monday-Friday

    Location: Beloit, WI

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Acts as the raw material expert for Lyons Magnus North. Ensure all incoming goods are adequately handled and tracked per written specifications and regulatory requirements.
    • Participate in hiring, training and mentoring of supervisory staff to achieve department goals.
    • Ensure Human Resources programs, employee performance evaluations, job training and disciplinary action are implemented and operated in accordance with company policies and state and federal laws.
    • Responsible for leading change and driving compliance with all Lyons material handling practices, improvement processes and dept. programs.
    • Control departmental expenses through efficient utilization of labor, supplies, materials equipment and company resources. Approve invoices for departmental spending.
    • Recommend improvements to material deliveries and logistics systems, programs and activities.
    • Promote and support continuous process productivity, utilization and quality improvements.
    • Use effective inventory control practices to maintain accurate inventory, replenishment, rotation and proper holding of inbound material, while ensuring accurate product selection, receiving and delivery.
    • Apply general warehousing knowledge to Daily Standards of Work and Decision Making
    • Assist in compliance audits with regulatory agencies (FDA, SQF, WDACP, USDA, OSHA, EPA).
    • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills that foster an environment of trust, respect and integrity.
    • Manage maintenance for forklifts and all fleet equipment
    • Direct movement of goods between Plant and 3PL warehouse
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Requirements

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
    • Must have effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving ability.
    • Strong project management skills, interpersonal savvy, and perseverance.
    • Demonstrated project management skills.
    • Proficient with MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
    • WMS knowledge and understanding, DAX preferred.
    Education and/or Experience :
    • Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience required. 5-10 years of experience in Management of Material Handling preferred.
    • Professional related experience will be accepted instead of a formal degree.
