Job summary
The successful candidate will be a Member of the Towed System Intermediate Maintenance Activity (TS IMA) team in Poulsbo WA.This site provides direct fleet support with towed acoustic systems installed on submarines and surface ships including 24/7/365 worldwide casualty assistance (CASREP) support Other responsibilities of the program include shippingreceivingwarehousing government property administration and asset tracking Primary Responsibilities Candidate will be responsible for conducting towed array module physical inspection electrical testing troubleshooting array assembly and shipboard installation removal of towed bodies while working pier side in all weather conditions or in a warehouse environment Travel overseas within CONUS on short notice may be required This position has occasional requirements for overtime work in order to meet US Navy operational schedules may have occasional requirements for extended travel to support surge work at other Towed System IMAs in order to meet US Navy operational schedules Selected applicant will receive on-the-job training is expected to qualify as a Towed Systems IMA technician Selected applicant must interact with Navy Government civilian contractors For advancement consideration within IMA program when positions become available selected candidate must Pier-Side Supervisor according Personnel Qualification Standard PQS requirements Candidate must capable performing routine assigned work minimum supervision Selected Applicant obtain retain Department Defense security clearance Secret level able obtain retain U passport Basic Qualification Graduate accredited technical institute apprentice program electronics above high school level completed military electronics course equivalent U Navy C school two years experience test repair electronicelectrical equipment Experience electronic test equipment operation various handheld power tools Must obtain interim Secret prior commencement employment Must valid driver license Must lift 40lbs without assistance Complete background check physical operator company truck Be citizen active Secret Clearance ability obtain one Preferred Qualifications Prior military service preferably Navy platform utilizing towed sonar systems submarine surface ship Experienced operation troubleshooting repair towed sonar arrays any following equipment ANBQQ5 ANBQQ6 ANBSY1 ANBSY2 SQQ89 OK276 OA9070OA9070A OK410 OK542542A Perform light mechanical maintenance actions operate fork lift part assigned duties Familiar Microsoft Office products O365 Fiber Optic Certified Position covered Service Contract Act subject minimum wage Health Welfare benefit Leidos ensure provisions met wages benefits Pay this position $2434hr If you looking comfort keep scrolling At Leidos outthink outbuild outpace status quo mission demands hiring followers recruiting disrupt provoke refuse fail Step ancient history already step moving faster than anyone else dares Original Posting January 26th
