The Position:At Headfirst we design fun intentional transformational camp experiences where every camper feels seen known and celebrated Growth doesn't happen by accident-it happens by design Through thoughtfully planned activities and trained staff we create what we call Headfirst Moments: when a camper tries something new pushes through fear and realizes I can do it.
Headfirst Summer Camp Day & Junior Day Camp Counselors will lead campers in pre-written theme-based curriculum as our youngest campers try new things and experience camp through the power of play We provide the training curriculum & daily camp schedules along with all equipment for a successful camp day but need you to bring camp to life with your enthusiasm dedication and un-matched energy Camper ages: 3-6 years old Activities include art story time swimming sports games music movement moon bounce playground STEM Weekly themes include Animals superheroes insects outer space Role Information Schedule In-season (late June through mid August): 7:45 am – 3:30 pm Monday – Friday Pre-season (early June): select weekends for training site preparation Compensation $15.00 / hour What You'll Do Bring Camp to Life Lead a group of 12 to 16 camppers with a co-counselor through a planned schedule Teach pre-written curriculum engage camppers during break times Implement Headfirst's safety protocols on supervision bathrooms emergency medications camper behavior management Lead music movement story time sports games moon bounce bathroom sunscreen breaks transitions lunch snack Support specialized staff during art STEM swim morning afternoon program meetings Execute morning afternoon carpool as key player welcoming each family to camp by name fantastic dance moves coordinated carpool procedures Nurture Physical Social Emotional Safety Work directly with camppers support them their emotional physical social development hands-on exploration developmentally appropriate activities Represent Headfirst Families Facility Partners Represent the Headfast brand daily families at carpool school facility partners throughout summer being enthusiastic helpful hands-on uniform Actively participate efforts take care of our amp facility community Be Active Member of Amp Team Arrive on-time communicate schedule changes promptly be loyal consistent team member shows up for campppers your team Be flexible assignment open supporting other programs site Handle Curveballs Practice resiliency arrive How Can I Help mentality puts camper experience team success forefront problem solving trying new things About You Must be at least eighteen years old The following requirements are necessary please consider carefully before applying If you between sixteen seventeen years old please apply for Jr. Counselor role Must able work around small children including sitting standing running climbing stairs full day Work hot outdoor environments actively supervising campppers participating dynamic activities extended periods time Lift carry thirty pounds occasionally Committed adhering Cell Phone Free policy powering down putting away cell phones locked pouch duration shift Equal Opportunity Employer value diversity inclusivity across Headfast community strongly encourage individuals underrepresented groups those who might need reasonable accommodation apply About Heardst Heardst delivers thoughtfully designed high quality summer youth experiences elevate potential exceed expectations For over twenty-five years we've partnered families schools organizations create environments kids feel supported challenged confident trying new things We believe great experiences built relationships Our teams prioritize genuine connection creating welcoming environment where kids feel seen heard supported consistently Behind scenes professional year round Headquarters support seasonal staff training systems clear expectations camps run smoothly consistently When join Heardst joining that takes pride doing well care deeply about experience deliver people work impact have on kids families standards high summers unforgettable=
