    Overview


    McWane Ductile - New Jersey is comprised of over 250 dedicated team members who produce ductile iron pipe that deliver clean, safe drinking water to communities globally.

    Phillipsburg New Jersey has been our home since1856, and we continue our legacy of manufacturing high-quality products critical to national infrastructure.

    We are currently looking for 3rd Shift Supervisor to lead all aspects of the Cleanup department.

    Responsibilities include supervising employees, plan flow of materials through department according to work orders, and observe machines and equipment for malfunction and orders adjustments or repairs.

    Tentative schedule is 6pm - 4am (dependent upon production demand)

    Responsibilities

    Include but are not limited to:
    Melting


    • Assist staff and work with supervisor if ladles need to be repaired before the start of production.
    • Communicate & supervise on issues that arise.
    Casting Area


    • Collaborate with Supervisor(s) on specific production issues involving cleaning certain areas of machines.
    • Ensure all machines are clean and ready for production startups on time(Example: Puller beds, machine beds, ladle areas, around machine walk ways, and walkways between puller areas)
    • Ensure up and over area is clean.
    • Ensure ladles are on machines on time to meet time hacks to get fire on them for production machine startups.
    • Work with employees on specific tools and or equipment needed for cleanup tasks.
    Finishing Area


    • Connect with supervisor/s on certain tasks needed to be done from the production run outside of normal clean up duties. (Email - verbal - text)
    • Lead follow cleanup check sheets, collect from finishing department on a nightly basis.
    • Communicate all work orders (critical if found and not on the schedule with the maintenance department. To include, Casting, Hotline, Cement line, and Paint line.
    • Communicate any issues found in a timely manner.
    Plant Maintenance


    • Coordinate with supervisor/s when issues arise out of certain tasks on machines

    Example:
    (Maintenance needs the crane that is being used for cleaning up task)

    • Assist in signing lockout/tagout (LOTO) forms for maintenance employees.
    Safety


    • Complete monthly safety requirements.
    Any other task as assigned by Manager.

    Qualifications


    • Possess a High School Diploma or GED
    • College Degree Preferred or equivalent experience
    • Experience in supervisory/management role
    • Possess excellent interpersonal skills
