    JOB OVERVIEW:
    The role of a hotel banquet houseman involves setting up, maintaining, and dismantling banquet spaces and equipment to ensure seamless event operations. Collaborating closely with banquet staff and event organizers, you will play a vital role in delivering events that meet clients' expectations and the hotel's high standards.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Set-Up and Breakdown: Organize tables, chairs, linens, tableware, and decor as per event plans. Post-event, dismantle equipment and ensure proper storage.
    • Equipment Maintenance: Check, clean, and upkeep banquet equipment like tables, chairs, and linens for optimal condition. Report maintenance issues promptly.
    • Assistance During Events: Support banquet servers and bartenders by refilling water, clearing plates, and offering general assistance to enhance guest experience.
    • Coordination: Communicate effectively with banquet captains, event planners, and colleagues to fulfill set-up requirements and manage last-minute changes.
    • Safety and Hygiene: Strictly adhere to safety and sanitation standards for a clean and secure work environment. Properly handle and store equipment and hazardous materials.
    • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional, courteous service to guests by promptly addressing requests and handling concerns or complaints efficiently.
    • Cleaning Banquet Space: Maintain cleanliness in the banquet area before, during, and after events. Tasks include vacuuming, mopping, surface cleaning, and waste disposal. Ensure adjacent areas like restrooms are also tidy.
    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
    • Physical Stamina: Must handle heavy lifting, bending, and long periods of standing.
    • Teamwork Skills: Strong interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with team members towards common goals.
    • Attention to Detail: Sharp eye for detail to ensure precise set-up and flawless event execution.
    • Flexibility: Adapt quickly to changing priorities and work schedules, even during evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
    • Experience: Prior experience in banquet set-up and event coordination is preferred but not mandatory. Training may be provided on the job.
    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
    • Certifications: Possession of a Food Handler's Permit or willingness to obtain one.
