The Child Forensic Interview & Family Advocate at Southeast Alaska Family Evaluation Child Advocacy Center (SAFE CAC) is a unique dual-role position trained to provide forensic interviewing and trauma-informed family advocacy to children and caregivers as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT). What You Will Do Conduct neutral developmentally appropriate legally defensible recorded forensic interviews using the ChildFirst protocol Provide trauma-informed advocacy and case support Coordinate with law enforcement child protection medical providers prosecutors and other MDT partners Maintain accurate timely case documentation and data entry Deliver community education outreach public awareness Provide court testimony Complete required training ongoing professional development Participate in after-hours on-call rotation to respond to urgent cases Skills Abilities We Are Looking For Experience in child protection social work behavioral health forensic interviewing or related field Bachelor degree in social work psychology counseling criminal justice law enforcement similar Strong understanding of child development abuse neglect social determinants of health impact disabilities substance use mental illness factors on children families Ability manage emotionally charged situations professionalism compassion Cultural responsiveness commitment serving diverse populations Excellent communication organization documentation skills Ability take initiative work independently collaboratively within an MDT Flexibility varied schedules including occasional evenings weekends holidays Training Requirements Must complete pass required training hire including Valid Alaska drivers license reliable transportation current auto insurance Ability pass background check per AAC Barrier Crimes Conditions As part of supportive multidisciplinary team Be present for children during critical moments Support healing stability families Receive specialized training ongoing professional growth Do meaningful work that changes lives Ready make difference Apply now help us create safer healthier community for children families This position is full time onsite hoursweek starting wage hour>
