    Permanent HireLocation: Houston, TX 77041Schedule: Flexible on the start and end times.

    However, the start time must be no later than 8:30am as there are weekly staff meetings on Fridays at 7:30am that require in-person attendance.


    HYBRID SCHEDULE:
    Working 2 days remotely and 3 days in the office. This could change depending on any mandatory meetings.


    Bonus:
    5-10% (varies on a case-to-case basis depending on the employee)

    Qualifications:


    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceMinimum of 8 years of cost accounting, auditing, or other relevant experiencePrevious technical manufacturing background and solid costing knowledge requiredAdvanced Microsoft Excel knowledge requiredOracle, Hyperion, Smart View, Snowflake, Power BI, and Alteryx experience a plusExperience with manufacturing standard cost environmentHigh level of dedication to meeting customer requests and required time commitmentsAptitude for relating manufacturing activities, system transactions, and processes to financial outcomesMust have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to critically analyze large data setsAnalytical and data drivenStrong problem-solving skillsStrong managerial/communication skillsSelf-motivated and is able to take initiative to look into important matters without being askedDescription :Looking for a seasoned Cost Accountant to lead a team for one of the largest manufacturing facilities in Houston for Client's Energy Equipment Capital.

    You will actively work with various operations personnel and financial management and become an intricate component of our progressive team environment.

    The Cost Accounting Supervisor should also provide guidance and mentorship to direct reports.

    This individual will be managing 2 direct reports upon start, and this could be increased to 3 direct reports in the future.

    Manage staff daily needs and ensure all tasks and responsibilities are covered.
    Comfort in communicating and presenting results to senior management across different departments and geographical locationsPosses strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsRespond to internal and external auditor requestsReviewing and approving of monthly account reconciliationsReviewing of monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analysis and summarizing/communicating to upper managementPartner with operations and accounting personnel to provide advice and technical assistance with operational transactions or processes and correlate the correct financial accountingProviding guidance on root cause analysis and implementation of corrections where neededDriving the review of system annual standard costs and executing in the systemAssisting with the monthly review of project budgetsDeveloping automated streamline processes for reporting or data analysisAssisting in the preparation of annual budgets for review by upper managementComplete ad-hoc financial analysis and cost accounting projects as required
