    Position Summary

    Summary of Role


    Primary responsibility will be to help us execute our strategic plan by growing our business and providing executive level consulting services to our clients.


    Will be expected to use deep industry knowledge and expertise to deliver and expand results-oriented risk management and compliance services across a variety of institutions, with primary focus in higher education.

    Depth and background in the higher education risk management and/or compliance industry, with preference for experience in professional services. Oversee a portfolio of enterprise risk management and compliance engagements and be responsible for ensuring engagement performance.


    Core functions include client relationship management, business development of a strategic growth area, staff engagement, creation of customized solutions, thought leader, sales driver and support, and people development.


    Help to strengthen our business through the expansion of our client network, development of new services, contributions to thought leadership, recruiting qualified professionals, and coaching and developing our existing team.

    Grow the Business

    Drive new business by leveraging existing relationships and our team's reputation.

    Primary areas of focus for business development will be Enterprise Risk Management, Institutional Compliance, and Consulting Services for internal audit or other assurance functions.


    Partner with colleagues across the Education and Research, Healthcare, and Digital teams to identify opportunities and support cross-selling effort for these colleagues.

    Leverage industry brand and network to cultivate new clients.

    Identify/evaluate potential senior talent candidates to accelerate the growth of our team.

    Serve as the primary driver, supporting the Solution Lead, for Huron's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Solutions:


    • Developing and implementing risk management frameworks
    • Partnering with risk owners to manage institutional risks - strategic, operational, financial and compliance.
    • Coordinating with the Huron Digital and Analytics teams on risk management and data analysis solutions
    Prospecting and developing new clients to in enterprise risk management, audit, and institutional compliance:


    • Maintain an extensive pipeline of qualified new client opportunities.
    • Ability to build and sustain long term relationships with clients to drive revenue.
    Serve Our Clients


    Serve in a senior advisory and/or engagement leadership role for several clients each year focused on project delivery and account expansion.

    Activities to include building trusted advisor relationships with senior executives, leading/supporting executive team meetings, framing approach and methodology, participating in stakeholder interviews, and reviewing deliverables.

    Achieve utilization target in addition to business development, practice/capability building and mentoring/developing team members.

    Lead the Business

    Serve as a thought leader within the EDR teams, contributing market and/or client intelligence to our capability advancement.


    Serve as a leader in our EDR team, innovating existing methodologies and offerings and support the creation of relevant thought leadership, and serve as a coach and mentor to team members.

    Develop our People

    Demonstrate commitment to growing and developing our people.

    Become an active coach and mentor to select team members.

    Education

    Undergraduate Degree (e.g., BA, BS). MBA or CPA a plus

    Preferred Qualifications

    Have or working toward one or more of the following certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA), Certified Professional Risk Manager (CRM), COSO Enterprise Risk Management Certificate

    Minimum of 10+ years of experience in the area of higher education compliance or risk management.

    Experience with board and audit committee governance within higher education.


    Subject matter expertise in ERM program design, development and implementation, compliance program development and assessment, internal controls evaluations and improvements, or internal audit services.

    Masterfully communicate on every level.

    Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

    The estimated base salary range for this job is $202,000 - $265,000.

    The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting.

    The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.

    This job is also eligible to participate in Huron's annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron's pay for performance philosophy.

    Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $206,250 - $290,250.

    The job is also eligible to participate in Huron's benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs.

    The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
