    **Position Summary:** Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Technician I will work independently and with other department team members to accomplish the goals of the department and MLI. The Warehouse Technician I will demonstrate professional appearance, behavior and attitude at all times while performing his/her job duties.

    **Primary Duties and Responsibilities:**

    Prepare product for transport to customers by prearranging, loading and securing product (drums, totes, boxes, etc.) in freight containers.

    Escalate to Supervisor as needed for any performance or compliance issues.

    Operate material moving equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, etc.

    Maintain strict compliance with mandatory Environmental and Safety regulations.

    Immediately escalate concerns or potential problems to the Companys management.

    Maintain regular and punctual attendance record.

    Other duties as assigned

    ****Required Knowledge, Skills and Ability:****

    High School diploma or equivalent required

    Forklift Certification required

    Working knowledge of computers and MS Office Software

    Working knowledge of arithmetic and grammar

    Demonstrated Ability to:

    + Follow written and verbal instructions in English.

    + Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in order to meet established deadlines.

    + Work as a team and/or independently.

    + Perform tasks with attention to detail and accuracy

    + Maintain regular and punctual attendance

    **Working Conditions:** Duties are generally performed indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions, in a 24-hour per day, seven day per week manufacturing environment. Handling and work with hazardous materials and chemical manufacturing equipment is routine. The employee may work in the presence of fumes or airborne particles, hot, toxic or corrosive chemicals, water, liquids and electrical equipment. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud. When working in the presence of these hazards, the employee is expected to follow company safety rules and use proper protection such as: hardhat, respirator, hearing protection, protective clothing, safety glasses, safety footwear, etc. MLI is an alcohol and drug free work place.

    **Physical Demands:** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk and listen. The employee is frequently required to move full drums, handle and use objects, tools, controls or keyboards; reach with hands and arms; kneel, crouch and occasionally climb. The employee occasionally works with production equipment and material moving equipment, such as forklifts, that require coordination and attention to detail.

    The employee must regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds without assistance and with assistance; containers, equipment and tools of greater weight. The employee is regularly required to see and read print, gauges and instrumentation. Specific vision abilities required are; close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
