    About DABS Inc

    We provide comprehensive life skills training to adults with developmental disabilities across California. Our goal is to help clients achieve a dignified experience of living and thriving within a network of community support and outreach.

    Job Summary

    This role requires an individual to work closely with our clients, providing assistance with everyday activities such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, running errands, and personal hygiene routines. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be patient, and compassionate towards individuals with developmental disabilities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Aid Consumers with everyday activities including light housekeeping, meal preparation, running errands, and helping to create or provide personal hygiene routines.
    • Assist with medication administration as needed.
    • Take consumers on outings to promote socialization and community integration.
    • Track and document changes in clients' overall status.
    • Work collaboratively with a team of internal and external professionals to ensure high-quality care.

    Requirements:

    • Current CPR Certification (resources available for completion).
    • Recent TB Test (resources available for completion).
    • Reliable Transportation to and from work.
    • Some experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred but not required for those passionate about making a difference.
    • Valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and insurance required for driving roles.
    • Pass a federal and state fingerprint background check.
