    Religious Activities Specialist
    MONTANA STATE PRISON
    DEER LODGE, MT
    MISSION - Montana Department of Corrections aims to create a safer Montana through Accountability, Rehabilitation, and Empowerment. If you want to contribute to positive changes in the community, then this is the place for you.
    • Supervises a volunteer base of approximately 250 through orientation, direct feedback, and correspondence to facilitate authentic religious activities and maintain sound penological practice.
    • Supervises two inmate workers to maintain RAC facilities, support programs, and develop positive job skills.
    • Assists the RAC Coordinator in expanding the network of religious program providers.
    • Develops policies and procedures consistent with MSP's goals and monitors diverse religious needs of the offender population.
    • Coordinates religious services and maintains necessary records.
    • Ensures success in the RAC's mission and responds to coordinator's requests.
    • Builds knowledge of religious practice and cooperates with community organizations.
    • Participates in the correctional community positively, following MSP's Guiding Principles.
    Hourly rate will increase by $1.50 per hour or 4% starting July 1, 2024 according to HB13.
