    (REMOTE) RI-0425 Functional Business Analyst, Long Term Contract

    Sigma INC is looking to hire a Functional Business Analyst to work remotely for our client.


    Job Summary:


    We are seeking a highly qualified Functional Business Analyst for the modernization project of the Office of Child Support Services (OCSS) for a State Government client.

    As a Functional Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and improving business processes within OCSS, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and enhancing the delivery of child support services to the families.


    Responsibilities:

    Business Requirements Gathering:

    Collaborate with OCSS stakeholders, including program administrators, case workers, and IT staff, to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.

    Conduct comprehensive analysis of current business processes within OCSS, identifying areas for optimization, automation, and efficiency improvement.
    Work closely with technical teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications and solution designs. Ensure that proposed solutions align with OCSS goals, state regulations, and industry best practices.
    Facilitate communication and collaboration between OCSS stakeholders and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle. Provide regular updates on project progress, gather feedback, and address concerns as they arise.
    Develop test plans, test cases, and test scenarios to validate that proposed solutions meet OCSS business requirements. Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure that defects are identified and resolved promptly.

    Working closely with customers to align technology solutions with business strategies;Collaborates and builds trusted relationships with business units, development teams, and other stakeholders to gather, analyze and prioritize work efforts;Developing as-is, to-be, and other required business analysis documentation;Developing and leading implementation of business process improvement recommendations;Following a standard set of practices that ensure the integrity and quality of project artifacts;Managing the expectations of diverse stakeholders and provide regular briefings to Client Leadership;Working independently as part of a larger cross-functional team.

    Requirements/

    Qualifications:
    Educational Requirements

    Bachelor's Degree, from an accredited college/university, in Computer Science, Information Systems, other related field and three (3) years of relevant work experience, or five (5) years of equivalent work experience


    Qualifications:


    Three (3) or more years of experience working as a business analyst using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies;Strong knowledge of information systems and business processes;Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, and methodology development;Experience coordinating business users, technical staff, and architects to help analyze and define future needs and operations based upon use case and analysis of alternatives;In-depth knowledge of business process design and re-engineering;Knowledge of data management, data governance and data migration process;Experience communicating and working within cross-departmental teams;Excellent computer skills, with strong concentration on Microsoft Word, Visio, PowerPoint and Excel;Excellent leadership and negotiation skills;Excellent verbal and written communication skills;Excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills;Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision making skills;Experience working with business process improvement projects;Experience with large-scale projects;Experience with State government projects;Experience with facilitating solution design, building and testing;A take charge, "can-do " attitude.
