    In collaboration with the Associate Chief Nurse and the Vice President for Perioperative Services, the Nursing Director plans, organizes, implements, and oversees clinical and program development in the Operating Room. S upports translating the mission, vision and values of the department in creating a therapeutic, healing patient/family centered practice environment to meet the needs of patients and families. The Nurse Director supports the implementation and evaluation of quality nursing care to patients and families, develops staff, assists with assessing clinical patterns within populations, and facilitates mobilization/allocation of resources to meet the immediate needs of patients and families. Responsibilities include oversight of professional nursing practice, ensuring compliance with Joint Commission and other applicable federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies, planning and management of operational and capital budgets to ensure quality patient care for patients in the following age groups: adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
    • Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field required OR enrollment in a Master's Degree in Nursing or related field.
    • Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse License required.
    • National professional nursing certification as a nurse executive (NE-BC) preferred
    • A minimum of 5+ years critical care/perioperative nursing experience required.
    • Leadership experience with demonstrated staff supervision ability required. Management experience preferred.
