2nd shift: 4:00PM - 6:00AM (60 hour work week with overtime paid 1.5x)

A major global corporation and a leader in their industry with annual revenue of $19 B and employing over 18,000.
Overview:
Seeking an Engineering Project Manager with building/facility experience and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) for a manufacturing facility expansion project.
Serve as point of contact over all site construction activities for capital expenditure projects or one large project using high level communication to inform engineering, the plant staff of site construction and safety activities.
They will also have the technical background to prepare and support software tools that provide input for project cost reports via SAP.
Support field technical issue resolution, collaborating with clients and contractors to assist delivering technical as well as non-technical solutions, utilizing their expertise and construction knowledge.
Duties may also include preparing, coordinating, and reviewing process equipment and building drawing packages, managing internal, contract and other resources involved in the pre-design, construction, engineering and supervising, assigning, scheduling, coordinating and evaluating contractor work.
Report issues related to schedule, cost, progress, safety and design directly to project engineering managers, plant project stakeholders, and/or contractor managers.
Role:
Manage financial, safety and schedule key performance indicators, then will redirect any deviation or propose alternatives to project engineering manager.
Review project details in SAP and review and update Microsoft Project, PETPRO, BIM 360, CXAlloy as required.
Organize manage and establish asset tracking, tagging, and project close-out activities with facility resources to determinate depreciation and final cost transfer
Track, sign for, maintain, and positively transfer field equipment and engineering department assets.
Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work site.
Be accountable for the direct execution, inspection, and quality acceptance of the project per relevant specifications, drawings, scope, schedule and budget.
Coordinate, drive, and maintain all schedules within the field and ensure that all work is being planned no less than 6 weeks out and is completed according to the contract schedule.
Schedules include "5 Forward /1 Back" Week Look Ahead, Detailed Gantt, and Milestones.Coordinate with project support staff, vendors, engineering, contractors, sub-contractors, plant, and suppliers on all matters related to the project.
Prepare and maintain project specific EWO and CO documentation for processing.
Manage field Inputs, RFIs, submittals through CX Alloy or available tool.
Provide daily and weekly reports to the plant engineering manager. These reports should include important items which may affect the project.
Conduct weekly planning meeting with the plant engineer or designate to determine access times for construction activities.
Provide leadership to field support team which may consist of various on-site supporting project resources (scheduler, safety, cost control, expeditor).
Provide engineering and construction inspection, construction management, and controls of projects.Inspect, verify, validate, and monitor quality and quantity of material used and reported by vendors.
Ensure adequate follow-up on materials and equipment deliveries.
Ensure proper staffing and project manning of the project.
Manage bid process and approve all contractors' purchases over $1,000 and all subcontracts prior to issue.
Ensure competitive bids are received for any work or engineering work order exceeding $5,000.
Review invoices against work completed and approve all contractor's invoices as to manpower, materials consumed into the construction, rental equipment and forward the invoices to the project manager for payment.
Schedule, receive, inspect, plan storage, document, track and maintain accountability of all materials and equipment required for the project.Schedule, receive, inspect, plan storage, document, track and maintain accountability of all materials and equipment required for the project.
Inspect all materials, construction, plant, and equipment for conformance with the technical specifications.
Perform all QC tests as required by the technical specifications.
Qualifications:
10-15+ years of construction management related experience.
Experience managing projects through all phases of construction.
Extensive experience in project management, building design and construction, scope management, scheduling, budgeting, cost modeling and risk analysis.
Proficiency in a variety of software tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, BIM 360 and BIM Field, CxAlloy, MS Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, Project, Access, One Note, etc.).
PMP, PMI, GAC, CCM, CMCI, CMAA or similar certifications desired.Ability to climb ladders and stairs and walk construction site.
Food or consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturing industry experience.
