    General Definition of Work

    Performs intermediate skilled administrative support work involving GCIC data entry, clerical, and records maintenance support. In compliance with applicable GCIC regulations, enters data including stolen or lost property, vehicles, missing persons, guns, and all active warrants (Magistrate, State Court, and Superior Court) into the GCIC system. Highly sensitive position, conforming to requirements overseen by the GBI. Monthly validations, reporting and other related duties as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the supervision of the Watch Commander and/or the GCIC TAC OIC.

    Essential Functions

    Performs criminal history checks on all onboarding employees

    Enters all stolen vehicles, runaway juveniles, and stolen articles with Serial #s on GCIC System

    Runs criminal histories for officers, detectives, or other law enforcement personnel

    Prepares all files for GCIC audit purposes

    Organizes and maintains files, and clears and cancels entries in compliance with GCIC regulation

    Submits LED (Law Enforcement Data) sheets of entries to the Warrant Clerk

    Documents reports with NIC#s of entries (i.e. stolen vehicle, runaway juveniles, stolen articles with serial #s)

    Enters all warrants submitted by personnel onto GCIC System

    Maintains complete data necessary for tracking arrest warrant receipts and arrest warrant attempts and/or service by CCSO

    Assists FVU modifying and/or clearing all T.P.O.'s and Conditional Bonds

    Copies various digital evidence as requested by Records Division

    Performs guidance and training in accordance with GCIC regulations

    Responds to inquiries and search files for requested information

    Ensures citations are submitted to the proper court

    Assists shifts and State/District Attorney's office regarding the preparation of case files

    Enters citations, assists with RMS maintenance, and answers roll over phone calls

    Encourages and promotes a culture of excellent customer service.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    General knowledge of federal, state, and county ordinances, and regulations governing the dissemination of criminal information as well as knowledge of Public records Law/Dissemination and Records Retention Requirements; general knowledge of records management system standard operating procedures; effective problem solver with attention to detail; strong written and oral communication skills; ability to handle confidential information with professionalism; ability to collect, organize and evaluate data and to develop logical conclusions and/or solutions; ability to learn specialized department software applications; ability to process public interagency video records request; ability to type a minimum of 50 WPM.

    Education and Experience

    High school diploma or GED required.

    Prior GCIC experience preferred, but not required

    Physical Requirements

    This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force; work regularly requires speaking or hearing and using hands to finger, handle or feel, frequently requires sitting and repetitive motions and occasionally requires standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms, pushing or pulling and lifting; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data; work has no exposure to environmental conditions; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).

    Special Requirements

    Favorable background history as determined by review of local, State, and Federal records.

    This is a 12-hour shift patrol rotation schedule which will includes days, nights and/or weekends.
