- Plans food and nutrition programs, supervises meal preparation and delivery; helps prevent and treat illnesses by promoting healthy eating habits and suggesting diet modifications.
- Under general supervision of the Associate Director of Nursing and in accordance w with Physician or Physician extender will provide education and guidance with meal planning, care coordination, nutrition evaluation and recommendation.
- Skills, Past work experience - Registered Dietitian (RD) certification
- Acute care experience
- Experience providing enteral/parenteral nutrition recommendations.
- Two years' experience
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
- Electronic Medical Records
- Call Detail Record
- Certificate of Dietic Registration (CDR) - Required
- NY State Office of Professionals Registered License - Preferred
- Primary Source Verification - required.
- AHA BLS - required.
- Master's degree - preferred
- Malpractice Insurance - All clinical workers are required to have active individual Medical Malpractice. A copy must be provided prior to start of assignment. All clinical workers licensed by the state of NY are required to provide.
