    Reporting directly to the


    VP of Creative, the Creative Director , plays a key role in providing creative leadership throughout the project life cycle.

    They collaborate with their creative team members, Producers, Project Managers, and Project Directors to ensure that the strategic objectives related to scope, schedule, budget, and creative delivery are met.

    The Creative Director possesses both artistic and technical expertise and can define and articulate the concepts and experiences that visualize the creative vision.

    They, in concert with art directors, guide the build efforts in the field and report to Executive creative design and development teams.

    Role & Responsibilities


    Defines, leads, and directs efforts to conceive, develop, and progress all creative aspects of assigned projects affecting guest experiences with achievable deliverables.

    Oversees and directs the execution of project elements to ensure guest experience intent and overall quality.

    Responsible for directing teams of creative project personnel, including writers, artists, directors, scenic designers, media producers, programmers, graphic designers, etc.

    Acts as the creative guardian for the project team, maintaining and evolving creative intent throughout all project phases.

    Collaborates with Show Producers or Project managers to maintain desired creative intent and directs creative design through all project phases.

    Create or facilitate creative intent through art direction and story development (treatments, storyboards, visual models, sketches, concept art).
    Creates and presents project materials to internal and external audiences, in communicating project concept, content, and status.
    Works with the creative Leadership team to identify and procure talent and resources necessary to complete the project.
    Acts as a project contact with internal and external partners, licensors, and intellectual property owners.
    Establishes and guides the vision for all contributors, leading the creative disciplines within the team.
    Break down projects into work packages and tasks aligned with the creative intent.
    Liaise with clients on creative decisions, ensuring deliverables align with the creative intent and client approvals.
    Supports Business Development and Marketing as necessary
    Travels as required

    Qualifications

    7-10 years of experience designing experience-based attractions, lands, location-based entertainment, or theme parks.
    5-7 years of Art direction and/or production design and field experience.
    Experienced in software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, Rhino, and AutoCAD.
    Core abilities in one or more artistic disciplines (design, architecture, story development, illustration, theatrical/scenic design).
    Ability to lead projects from concept to completion.
    Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate concepts through various media.
    Thorough knowledge of the creative process and deliverables.
    Ability to communicate complex artistic ideas through written and visual materials.
    Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    A valid passport for the duration of employment for all travel-related roles. Proof of vaccination against COVID-19 (or proof of exemption) will be required.
