- Carry out daily inspections, greasing, fueling, and safe machine operation duties.
- Set up machinery and ensure all ground conditions are safe, prior to any drilling/boring.
- Effectively monitor the operation of equipment.
- Observe the proper loading of equipment on any trailers.
- Assist labors, as necessary.
- Perform appropriate duties as assigned by the Foreman or Supervisor.
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum three (3) years of operating various types of heavy equipment is preferred. (Backhoes, Excavators, Loaders, and Skid Steers.)
- Minimum five (5) years of operating or locating on various types of horizontal directional drilling equipment; Ditch Witch, Vermeer, American Auger is required.
- Must be knowledgeable drilling in various soil conditions and mixing drill mud.
- Experience working and drilling in the Utility / Energy industry.
- Valid Driver's License is required.
