TOPS Staffing is searching for an experienced soldering rework technician for a client who manufacturers and performs service and repair work to devices used primarily in the medical field.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of soldering experience and is either currently IPC certified or has been in the past.

The job is going to be a combination of soldering rework on circuit boards and may include some mechanical assembly or disassembly work as well.

Location:
Blawnox, PA

Hours:

Daylight shift – 7:30am to 3:30pm – Monday to Friday schedule; some overtime may be required on an as needed basis.

Pay:
Based on experience but usually starts off around $20per hour.


Duties/Responsibilities:
Perform quality hand soldering tasks for SMD, through-hole components and PCBAs.

Able to effectively perform the following tasks: Liquid masking application, stuffing PCBAs with through-hole components, lead trimming, tape masking application, unmasking PCBAs, manual cleaning of PCBAs, and mechanical assembly.

Work from schematics, blueprints and oral instructions to repair or modify assemblies, sub-assemblies and components.
Daily maintenance of required soldering equipment.
Knowledge and understanding of through-hole components and processes including polarity, flux chemistry, solder alloy, and J-STD-001 requirements.


Education and Experience:
Associates degree in electronics or related field or formal training from military or other programs is preferred or equivalent related work experience (3+ years)
Experience in testing, building, customizing and troubleshooting would be a preferred but not required
Must have soldering experience on electronic assemblies, PCB's
Working knowledge of proficient soldering and re-work techniques in accordance with IPC standards.
Experience working in an ISO regulated environment.
Minimum 2 years of experience in PCBA, SMD environment.


Physical requirements:
Frequently sit, stand, and walk in this position.
Ability to lift up to 25lbs on occasion.
Good eye sight / Hand eye coordination
