    Strategic Planning Analyst

    The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Public Health & Safety Division, Epidemiology and Scientific Support Bureau.

    This Strategic Planning Analyst provides leadership and coordination in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the State Health Assessment and State Health Improvement Plan (SHIP). Works closely with leadership in the Public Health and Safety Division, other Divisions throughout DPHHS, and external partners to plan for collective action towards improving population health. Communicates directly with partners and stakeholders to support system improvements and build capacity to accomplish shared goals. Monitors and maintains the PHSD's Strategic Plan and provides technical assistance to support strategic planning that aligns with the SHIP for DPHHS programs and partners.

    Qualifications for this Career Opportunity

  • Abilityto develop and implement project work plans with minimal supervision.
  • Abilityto coordinate and facilitate strategic planning processes.
  • Abilityto lead, facilitate, and energize groups of partners and stakeholders.
  • Meet minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor'sdegree in business administration or a related field.
  • Twoyears of strategic planning experience in a mid to large sized organization or for a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Oneyear of experience coordinating task groups such as a coalition, workgroup, task force, or board.
  • Othercombinations of directly related education and experience may be considered.
