    Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years deaf & hard of hearing experience required.

    Job Type: Full-Time

    Position Overview: We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teachers to join our team in Augusta, GA. As a DHH Teacher, you will work with students who are deaf or hard of hearing to provide specialized instruction and support to help them succeed academically and socially.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide direct instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing using appropriate instructional strategies and materials
    • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to address students' unique needs and goals
    • Collaborate with educational interpreters, speech-language pathologists, and other support staff to ensure effective munication and access to the curriculum
    • Adapt curriculum materials and resources to meet the needs of students with hearing loss
    • Provide support and guidance to students in developing munication skills, including sign language, speech, and auditory skills
    • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed to support academic growth and development
    • municate regularly with parents, teachers, and other team members to provide updates on student progress and discuss strategies for supporting student success
    • Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development activities as required

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or related field
    • Valid teaching credential or license in Deaf Education or Special Education with a DHH endorsement
    • Certification in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred
    • At least one year of recent experience working as a DHH Teacher in a school setting
    • Knowledge of best practices in Deaf Education and experience with instructional strategies for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
    • Strong munication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
