Job Description
Job DescriptionDescription:Mercy Centre is a program of Catholic Charities located in Worcester, Massachusetts. Founded by the Sisters of Mercy and Catholic Charities in the 1960's, the program serves over one hundred adults with developmental disabilities ages eighteen and over in four different programs from the Worcester County extended area.
We are currently looking for an LPN/nurse/healthcare manager who will coordinate the provision of health care supports and services through training, monitoring required medical services, interfacing with various health care providers and coordinating essential follow-up. Coordinates medical supports including emergency treatment as required for members served. Maintains medication security and dispenses medications/ treatments as prescribed by health care professionals. Completes the required medication documentation in a timely, accurate fashion. Assists in assessments, trainings, interface and coordination of care with guardians, residential providers and family members. Insures compliance with applicable regulations. Demonstrates commitment to the team process and advocates for the members to assure a level of care is being provided. Responsible for maintaining documentation in accordance with Mass Health regulations, maintains health care records and must be in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure safeguards for confidentiality of medical information.
Full time - 7:30 am - 3:30 PM

Requirements:Requirements include a licensed practical nurse degree/certificate with a Massachusetts Nursing License in good standing, preferably with a minimum of two or more years of experience. Preferred one year related experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Knowledge of Mass Health Regulations, strong knowledge of computer technology including Microsoft Office products, demonstrated ability to manage complex medical services, a knowledge of Massachusetts health regulations.
Bi-lingual skills in Spanish is preferred.
Certifications: Adult CPR and First Aid. If not possessed at the time of hire, employees must attain certification within six months of hire, and maintain annually thereafter.
· Knowledge of the Medication Administration Program (MAP) certification needed.
· Must provide evidence of a recent Mantoux tuberculin skin test (TST) showing the absence of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and maintain throughout employment.
