Registered Nurse - Day Shift
Job Description
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our team. The ideal candidates must possess a current Wisconsin License and CPR/BLS certification. Vaccination for Flu is required. Please note that this position may require travel RNs to float to other units and involves working every other weekend and holiday.
This is a 13-week contract position, requiring 12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 7 PM.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and State laws/practice act.
- Documents according to standards of care.
- Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs, as prescribed by the Physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction.
- Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
- Utilizes clinical expertise and provides guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care.
- Utilizes critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience, appropriately escalating concerns to the appropriate chain of command.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current Wisconsin RN License
- CPR/BLS certification
- Flu vaccination
