Job Description
Our client, a leading meat company, is currently seeking an accomplished Quality Control Manager to join the team.

Here is an overview of the role:
1) Develop, implement and manage quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production of product
2) Formulate the food safety and quality policy
3) Establish and maintain the food safety and quality system
4) Supervise or perform inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and technical integrity throughout the production cycle
5) Provide technical and statistical expertise to teams
6) Set plant-wide policy for food safety and quality management as defined in the food safety and quality management systems documentation
7) Serve as the management representative for all food safety and quality systems
8) Initiate investigations of food safety and quality incidents throughout the plant
9) Interpret quality control philosophy to key personnel within the company
10) Interact with vendors to ensure the quality of all purchased parts
11) Achieve and maintain the certification necessary to be an SQF Practitioner
12) Be responsible for validating changes to food safety and quality plans that have an impact on the company's ability to deliver safe quality food
13) Design, develop and implement quality control training programs
14) Assist the Management Team and provide QC support as necessary
15) Assist the Plant Manager with supervisory and other managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
16) Perform other duties as assigned
Critical Requirements
1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field
2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
3) Recent experience in the meat industry is strongly preferred
4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in quality control management
