Overview
The Homeschool Academy Site Lead is responsible for providing day-to-day academy oversight while creating a welcoming environment for faculty/staff, students, and parents. As Site Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the learning experience for students enrolled in our hybrid homeschool program. The Site Lead maintains an on-campus presence, focusing on classroom needs, safety, and student policies while providing direction and support to faculty/staff as needed. The Site Lead will provide regular feedback to the Academy Administration team regarding any program successes or challenges involving students, parents, or faculty/staff yet has a heart for growth and the development of new leaders.
Responsibilities
- Assists with the development of class schedules and room assignments
- Follows and re-enforces site safety protocols, ensuring all staff members are trained and up to date on procedures
- Ensures the facility is left in the order in which it was found at the end of each school week
- Assists with classroom setup/teardown as needed
- Provides feedback regarding Academy policies, procedures, and forms
- Sends new admission emails, welcome information, and ensures new students are properly onboarded
- Oversees and assists with check-in and check-out procedures
- Assists with submitting POs for academy expenses and ensures budget adherence
- Assists with maintaining accurate student records, including but not limited to applications, release forms, and incident reports
- Responsible for advance planning and preparation for the upcoming school year, aligning resources, staff, schedules, administrative needs, etc., ensuring successful enrollment and operations preparations
Curriculum and Program Oversight
- Suggests, develops, and implements new programs and classes for growth
- Assists with the selection of curriculum kits (submits requests, is well versed in homeschool curriculum options)
- Oversees weekly chapel services as service producer and media/production oversight
- Oversees the planning and execution of special events
Parent, Student, and Staff Relations
- Serves as the on-site "face"of the Academy
- Supports the immediate on-campus needs of parents and faculty/staff
- Attends teacher and parent meetings as needed
- Contacts parents regarding escalated disciplinary, behavioral, health, or injury issues
- Appoints substitute teachers in the case of unexpected absences
- Assists with substitute teaching if needed
- Provides disciplinary guidance as needed
- Encourages camaraderie and positive relationships between all faculty/staff
- Regularly communicates with parents in a kind and friendly manner
- Conducts classroom observations and assists with staff evaluations
- Conducts tours and family interviews for new and prospective families
- Provides training and guidance to faculty regarding teaching techniques, classroom schedules, routines, and implementation of the Academy's selected curriculum
- Responds to emails, online messages, and telephone calls in a timely and professional manner
- Oversees the coordination of parent volunteers
- Other duties as required
Experience
- A bachelor's degree is highly preferred. Previous experience in private school education or similar program.
- Passionate about homeschooling and education in a Christ-centered environment.

Exemplifies the Academy's mission and vision statement while following the Academy Handbook. Supports the Code of Conduct and general policies for students/teachers.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $ $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 28 per week
Work Location: In person
