    This position will be in charge of laboratory preparations and field deployments to assess the Transport of Wildfire-Generated Particulate Matter Into Homes and Developing Practical Interventions to Reduce Human Exposure.

    Who We AreOur research focus is on Air Quality, particularly in experimental measurement of the physical properties of aerosols (small particle or droplets suspended in air) in the context of ambient and indoor air quality.

    Applications of our research include evaluating physical and chemical transformations of aerosols indoors and outdoors and assessing emissions to inform 'safer by design' consumer products.

    Our mission is to perform experimental aerosol science research to lead to a positive impact in human health and the environment.

    What Your Key Responsibilities Will BeOperation of laboratory instrumentation to measure physical properties of smoke aerosols.
    What You Should KnowThis position is in-person in Boulder, CO. The applicant will need to be located in Colorado.
    What We Can OfferThe hourly rate for this position is $20.00, paid biweekly. This position is ineligible for benefits or vacation leave.
    BenefitsTemporary positions at the University of Colorado are not benefits-eligible, however, all positions are eligible for paid sick leave.

    What We RequireThe successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field and will be continuing on to a PhD program at CU Boulder.

    What You Will NeedApplicant should have some knowledge of air quality instrumentation and data analysis tools. Applicant should also be prepared to perform experimental research in the laboratory and the field.

    What We Would Like You to HaveWe would like the applicant to have independent research skills, as well as a desire to learn and evolve in the position and to pursue a graduate degree in environmental or mechanical engineering.
