    Primary Talent Partners has a full-time, 12-month contract Manufacturing Engineer II opening with a Medical device client out at their North Haven, CT site.

    Pay range is $38 to $48 per hour based on overall experience.

    Contract extension or conversion is dependent upon performance, budget, and business needs.

    Job Description:


    We are seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Engineer to join our client's team and drive the sustainable improvement of our stapling manufacturing lines, with a specific focus on our Tri-Staple product line.

    The Manufacturing Engineer will play a pivotal role in overseeing costs, analyzing manufacturing efficiency data, developing processes, leading change management initiatives, and acting as a liaison with various departments including quality, operational excellence, manufacturing, and engineering.


    Key Responsibilities:


    Lead or support initiatives across all aspects of product manufacturing including cost reduction, quality improvement, service/repair, process enhancement, and documentation.

    Develop a deep understanding of product designs to identify opportunities for manufacturing process improvement and implement cost reduction strategies.

    Gather and analyze manufacturing metrics, collaborating closely with the Quality organization to identify necessary process changes.

    Utilize statistical techniques to compile and analyze data, driving appropriate improvement initiatives.

    Inspect and assess the performance of machinery, equipment, and tools, initiating corrective actions to ensure product quality.

    Ensure processes and procedures adhere to regulatory standards.

    Education and Experience Requirements:
    Bachelors Degree in Engineering required.

    Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience; Masters Degree holders are also encouraged to apply.


    Work Details:
    Full-time position requiring 40 hours per week.

    On-site work; remote work is not available.


    Product Line Support:
    Stapling, specifically the Tri-Staple product line.

    Additional Responsibilities (may include but not limited to):

    Designing manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts.

    Adapting machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.

    Providing guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements.

    Ensuring compliance with regulations.


    Required Knowledge and Experience:
    Requires practical knowledge and competence typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.


    University Degree required, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; advanced degree holders with no experience are also encouraged to apply.
