    Job Description

    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a current IA or compact state RN license and weekend night availability.

    Responsibilities
    Work in a Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
    Role involves care for laboring and postpartum women, as well as newborns
    Weekend night shift assignment
    Assignment duration is 12 weeks
    Daily responsibilities include collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and ensuring continuity of care
    Must be able to direct support staff and provide holistic care using evidence-based nursing principles
    Empathetic listening, tact, and kindness toward patients and colleagues are essential
    No COVID-19 vaccine requirement is specified
    Local candidates are accepted for this assignment

    Requirements
    Active IA or compact state RN license in good standing
    Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred
    Current AHA Heart Code BLS required (or obtained within 3 months of hire)
    ACLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required (obtain per facility policy)
    Strong technical and critical thinking nursing skills
    Ability to communicate effectively in English and work collaboratively within a team
    Basic computer knowledge
