Description
Technical Prospects, one of the most respected and widely used providers of quality pre-owned Siemens medical imaging parts, is looking for a motivated, creative, detailed oriented Director of Operations to help lead our Operations team.
As a provider of quality parts, training, and service, we strive to provide nothing but value and quality to our customers and employees.
The Director of Operations reports to the President and directly oversees all warehouse and medical device repair activities, including safety and quality initiatives.
They will devise efficient ways to use team members, equipment, materials, information, and energy to drive continuous improvement across all functional areas.
Daily responsibility is focused but not limited to productivity, safety, quality, data analytics, and supporting the company's overall strategic goals.

What You Will Be Working On
Leading the advancement and implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives in repair production
Coordinating problem-solving activities on the warehouse floor with multi-department resources
Establishing operational methods and work standards using various work measurement techniques with a focus on efficiency and increased productivity goals
Providing mentorship and guidance to the Operations Supervisor and Technical Engineering Coordinator
Planning, monitoring, and analyzing key metrics for day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks
Collaborating with leadership in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans
Overseeing inventory management practices, optimizing the use of floor space
Optimizing employee production and material efficiency through continuous improvement, extensive process analysis, and interdepartmental collaboration
Analyzing existing operations and proposing cost-justified improvements
Maintaining high-quality standards through on-the-floor interaction with employees to ensure quality and accuracy in each step of all processes
Communicating leadership objectives and supporting HR, Quality, Safety, Sales, Marketing, and Finance departmental efforts
Promoting a safe working environment that meets all regulatory requirements
Managing and maintaining the physical plant assets of the company
Preparing leadership materials as needed including monthly and/or quarterly slide deck and presenting to leadership
Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
Preferred BA in industrial engineering or manufacturing
10+ Years of Industry Experience
Strong lean manufacturing experience with a focus on continuous improvement, 5S, Kaizen events, value stream mapping and visual management
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Ability to handle multiple high-priority items at once
Ability to initiate, plan, direct, and execute process improvement projects
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to develop positive working relationships with both internal and external customers
Must have a team-oriented mindset
Ability to provide mentorship and guidance to team members and supervisors
Direct reports include Operations Supervisor, Technical Engineering Coordinator, Product Support Engineers
The entire operations division rolls up to this position
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work with minimum direction and coordinate multiple projects and items simultaneously
Self-starter who takes a proactive approach and excels in a challenging environment
Language Skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, professional journals, technical procedures and/or government regulations
Ability to write business correspondence and work instructions
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leadership, customers, vendors, and the general public
Math Skills
Strong mathematical and analytical skills combined with the ability to read complex drawings and blueprints
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Good decision-making skills
Computer Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel
Basic typing skills
ERP and CRM system knowledge required
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
Ability to travel occasionally
