    POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

    Moss' Project Accounting Manager will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations and orient, train, counsel, and communicate job expectations and enforce policies and procedures to Project Accountants (PAs) under their supervision, as well as lead all financial and fiscal management of the projects.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction or renewable energy accounting, familiarity with percentage of completion accounting, and excellent leadership skills.

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Prepare, review, and monitor the regional overhead budget

    Establish and maintain organization processes and procedure manuals

    Establish and maintain project audit processes and procedures

    Supervise all assigned Project Accountants and Contract Administrators

    Review project-level financial reports (WIP, Dashboards, Cash Position & Forecasts)

    Set up and implement procedures to ensure contractual requirements with respect to all financial aspects are adhered to

    Train and develop staff

    Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations and industry-specific accounting standards and stay up to date with changes in construction accounting standards

    Continuously assess and improve accounting processes and procedures to optimize efficiency and accuracy

    Perform other duties as assigned


    EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is highly desirable

    Minimum of 5 years of work experience in Project / Financial Accounting

    Possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements

    Previous experience managing or supervising others, preferably on an accounting team

    Previous construction company experience required

    Strong critical thinking, decision making, and analytical skills

    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy

    Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.

    Proficient verbal and written communication skills

    Flexible with changing priorities and willing to work as needed to meet deadlines

    Organized/self-starter

    capable of working independently and managing multiple deadlines.

    Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems for financial reporting and analysis.

    Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
