- Responsible for the interpretation of budget related laws, regulations, policies, precedents, methods, and techniques.
- Provide budgetary guidance to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory policies.
- Monitor obligations/expenditures to make recommendations for the redistribution of funds within budget accounts .
- Input budget data/information into financial accounting systems to include the General Fund Enterprise Business System or similar systems.
- Advise managers on fund utilization, requirements and conditions.
- Prepare documents needed to process budget estimates, supplemental appropriations, and allotment for higher headquarters.
- Correct any findings from external audits/reviews regarding vendor pay processes
